Trent Excalibur Men's Lacrosse Begin Playoff Push at Home

The Trent Excalibur men's lacrosse team will begin their playoff chase for the coveted Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association (CUFLA) Baggataway Cup Championship on Saturday after another strong regular season. Trent finished second in the East Division with an 8-2 record. Having won the title in 2022, the Excalibur are determined to return to championship form after a quarter-final exit in 2023.
Trent was led in goals by rookie Michael Andersson, who tied for fifth in the league with 23 goals in just eight games, and Jack MacAlpine (T-fifth) with 23 goals in 10 games. The Excalibur were led in scoring by Dylan James, who ranked fourth in the league with 36 points (20 goals and 16 assists).
The Trent Excalibur will kick off their playoff journey with a home game at Justin Chiu Stadium against the Ottawa Gee-Gees on Saturday, October 26, at 1 p.m. Trent defeated Ottawa in both meetings during the regular season 18-8 in Ottawa on Sept. 14 and 16-5 at Trent on Sept. 15.
Tickets are available for $10 at the gate, opening one hour before the match. Trent students with valid student ID, and children 12 and under accompanied by a paying adult receive free admission.
The Baggataway Cup Championship will be hosted by the Brock Badgers from November 1-3. Livestream details will be available on trentexcalibur.ca.
