Congratulations to former Trent University student-athlete and Trent Excalibur rower Trevor Jones as he concluded his first Olympic Games, finishing 9th overall in the men's single sculls competition at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Well done Trevor!

Winning his first career Olympic race in the preliminary round, Trevor kept the momentum going until qualifying for the B Final on Thursday, July 29. Crossing the finish line in a time of 6:48.51, the 23-year-old from Lakefield, Ont., concluded his first Olympic Games with a third place finish in the B Final, ninth overall in the men's competition.

As a member of the Trent Rowing varsity club from the 2015-18 to season, rowed with the Peterborough Rowing Club with Olympian and coach Carol Love as part of the RBC Training Ground program which was held at Trent University at the time.  

A two-time World U23 Rowing Champion, Trevor was joined by Trent alum and Arthur Cup winner Joshua King, as a member of the men's four crew.
